Faith Statement

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are the inerrant, inspired, and infallible Word of God. God’s Word is the final authority for faith and life. We believe there is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe man was created in the image of God. We believe the only way a person can have a true, forgiven, personal relationship with God is through accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. We believe Jesus Christ was raised from the dead on the third day after the crucifixion. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus became man without ceasing to be God.

We believe in the literal, physical return of Jesus to judge the living and the dead. We believe God offers eternal life as a free gift and that it must be received by faith alone through God’s grace alone. We believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of believers on mission to enlarge God’s kingdom.

We are a Christ centered church that is dedicated to loving God with all our heart, mind, and soul and to loving our neighbor as ourselves.

Staff

Pastor Bob Preusz

Bob was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He worked in refrigeration at Marsh and Kroger for 20 years. Having sensed a call to ordain ministry he went back to school at the age of 38 and graduated from University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Liberal studies degree and earned a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary. He has been in the ministry for 24 years and an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church for 12 years.

He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy, for almost 44 years. They have three children and eight grandchildren. Bob loves the ministry, being with his wife and family, the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and playing golf when he gets the chance.

Bob is dedicated to sharing the joy, love, and fulfillment that comes from having a real relationship with Jesus. " I lived my first 33 years without Jesus in my life and was always searching for ways to make me happy, not to feel so empty all the time. I found what I was searching for in a personal relationship with Jesus. I want others to know the hope, love, and peace that can be found in Jesus.”

Children's Ministry Director

Nancy is a wonderful person who works with all of our kiddos who come through the Church doors. You can always see Miss Nancy at first or second service and she will always have a fun craft or game that helps you learn more about Jesus.

Sara Hendrick

Administrative Assistant

Sara grew up in Arcadia Indiana in 2005 she moved to Frankton Indiana with her son. There, she met and married her husband, Josh. Together they have five beautiful children with two sets of twins. Sara has a Bachelor's degree in Social Media Marketing from Ashford University of San Diego California. When She obtained this degree, her main goal was to help non-profit organizations within her community and state. So when the opportunity arose with the Community Church of Frankton she jumped on it. Her job combines the things she loves doing the most: helping others, being creative, and her love of God.

When Sara is not at work at the church, she works as a Special Education Teacher at a neighboring school. She also can be found watching any sport or band competitions her children are in, Colts football, Cardinals baseball, watching super hero movies, gardening or simply being outdoors with her family.

Stacie Pickering

Custodial Staff

Stacie helps to keep all of our spaces clean and organized for all who come to Church and utilize our facilities. Next time you see Stacie give her a hug and tell her thank you for all she does!

Mike McDonald

Traditional Service Director

Mike McDonald the music director in the traditional service at Frankton First United Methodist Church and his wife Patty have between them seven children and 12 grandchildren Mike is a graduate of Anderson college and has an BS in music education and a master's degree in the same areas from Ball State University he was a public school music teacher for 42 years and has worked as the music director and instrumentalist in United Methodist congregations for the last 35 years 7 of those have been spent at Frankton First United Methodist where Mike is the longest-serving staff member

Alli McDonald

Contemporary Service Director

Alli McDonald is a native of Northern Indiana and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. While attending Indiana Wesleyan, Alli was active in traveling ensembles, multiple theater productions, and was a student mentor within the IWU music division. Alli enjoys fishing, singing, and coffee!

“God has brought me through so many different trials in my life that brought me to Him while attending Indiana Wesleyan University. He is forever my guiding light and shoulder to lean on. I am so grateful for the opportunity to not only lead worship, but, to learn and grow from my time at Community Church of Frankton.”
